When caddis are hatching, a low-riding, emerger pattern is often needed. Fish are taking emerging pupa sub-surface and will come up and take an Opal X-Caddis floating in the film. The fly has three components:a gold emerging shuck, an opal tinsel body and a head/wing of deer hair. The Opal X-Caddis floats well, is very durable and drive fish crazy.
